The Awesome Valentine's Day Prompt Post and Claims List 2014

Huge thanks to everyone who chimed in on my prompt post! And hello to all the lovely people I don't know yet *waves* I wasn’t expecting such a great response. We even have stories for two un-filled prompts from 2013:

angeweeks claimed no. 5 from last year’s list: established Howince with Howard sending Vince a Valentine saying ‘you are my Chosen One’, which inevitably leads to kinky sex with chains and a loincloth whether that was Howard’s intention or not. And tron_quixote adopted this prompt from last year: ‘Fossil and Bainbridge at the zoo, going as wrong as you like - perhaps someone sends Fossil a Valentine and he thinks it was Bainbridge but it wasn’t, or maybe it actually was, but either way we end up with a scenario we didn’t really need to see…’ FILLED! (OMIGOSH I have just realised these were both actually my prompts - my cup runneth over! Thank you both all over again for such fantastic fills!)

And here is the 2014 Valentine’s Prompt List. I’ve jumped in and claimed number 3 but all of the others are still up for grabs, so comment and let me know which you’d like and I’ll update the masterlist.

1. ideserveyou said: I'd like to see explorations of some of the less popular Noelian Boosh pairings. F'r instance, has Howard Moon ever had a proper conversation with The Moon and discovered that they have more in common than just a name? Why can't Dennis remember who Tony Harrison is - do they have some history that Dennis has blanked from his memory, along with Tony's name? Would the Hitcher get more than he bargained for if he commissioned Sandstorm to make him a new box? What if Vince lingered in the Mirror World for long enough to polish Mr Susan's mirrorballs?


2. ideserveyou also said: I just got earwormed by this song and realised how well it fits into the Boosh universe, so anything inspired by this would be great - whether it's the 'copying' incident or Vince wanting to be close to Howard (or vice versa) or some other character with a humungous crush that results in excessive clinginess (and yes, I am thinking Tony Harrison here, don't I always?) 6. veul_mclannon said: As there is nowhere near enough Richmond fic (especially not-cripplingly-angsty stuff), could we have Richmond/Ed Banger from Horrid Henry? Or any other Noel/Julian/Dave character, tbh, I'm not fussy. As long as Richmond finds his one true love or some such. (I am begging on bended knees for no angst though.) JUST HAD A THOUGHT: Richmond/Saboo. GUH. Yeah, I'm leaving now.

    - the pairing can either be Noelian or any of the characters they've played

Lots of great ideas there to choose from, so please do, there is a lovely tradition of V-Day fic in this fandom and it looks as though this year will be another good year!

No rush to get your story finished by the 14^th (just as well, I’m still writing at least one from last year!), and if you have an idea for a V-Day fic that doesn’t fit any of the prompts, feel free to go ahead and write it anyway, absolutely nobody will complain.

Let the romance commence!

You're welcome. I really enjoyed your story! And yes, feel free to appropriate another prompt or three in the interests of passing the time. I spent quite a chunk of last winter in bed and another chunk of last winter in hospital waiting rooms, and got lots of writing done... still got several drafts hanging around in various notebooks, but I will get on to typing them up in my own sweet mystical time.
There were a fair few Valentine prompts unclaimed last year too, and I'm sure I can sling you a plot-bunny or two if you're short of ideas!

I am always happy to catch some plot-bunnies. Otherwise I just regress into a Jane Austen-esque world of make-believe... again. And that story's already been written. I need a new project. :-)
