Summary: Vince is a lonely and miserable boy when he applies to the Zooniverse.  Although everything about the application process leads him to believe he's probably going to be murdered... it's still better than going back to school.  He immediately develops a crush on his mentor, Howard Moon, and desperately craves his attention.  Oddly enough, Vince finds that he suddenly has the power to get someone's attention.  Vince is changing and the Zooniverse seems to be changing with him.  No one will tell him what's going on, but it's clear the Zooniverse is well named.  Reality does not apply.  For some, like Vince, it is a place to break free from reality and be someone better.  For Howard, it's a place where all his worst fears come true on a daily basis.  For Bob Fossil, it's a place where he can dance like in that movie.  You know, the one with the leg warmers and she takes off her bra without showing her lady bits and the bucket of water?  It's like that.
Author’s Notes: Despite the rumors that I have tried to start, I do not own any part of the Mighty Boosh, I'm just a massive fan.  Thank you to bluestocking79 for being my tireless beta, and for constantly inspiring me with her incredible intelligence, insight and sensitivity.  This story wouldn't exist without life_downsized and her insightful comments and beautiful enthusiasm (so blame her).  My artist oohyeahthat is just tremendous.  Her sharp wit and creativity are woven into every image, and she made me laugh out loud and my own jokes with her brilliant illustrations.  A million people have inspired this story with their comments and observations, so I'll just thank all the Boosh fans for being what has to be the coolest fandom to ever exist.
