Artist’s Notes: A scene from Chapter 4, Part 2; i.e. my favourite scene. I do have plans for more but seeing as I don't know if I will ever finish them all, I decided to post as I finish (I only have the one for now though, i was a touch busier over christmas break than i thought I would be)

Was just going to be a pencil sketch but i really wanted the fish to be in colour...I didn't think it through though because doing realistic or at least recognisable faces in pencil crayon is damn near impossible. I ended up scribbling through the page on both their faces (you'd think I'd learn after destroying the first face, but no) so I did have to touch things up on the computer. Other than facial touch-ups, everything is in pencil crayon.

Wow! That's absolutely gorgeous! It's really captures the both of them well I think. With Vince completely engage with the fishies (who look adorably excited btw) and Howard sort of bashfully enthralled with Vince! I LOVE it!

Thanks, I couldn't help it; I did spend more time on him just because his clothes and hair are much more fun to draw. I loved drawing the fishes^_^ dunno if they're at all like what chinese fish are meant to look like but at least they're cute lol.

Thanks^_^ Vince is just so much easier to draw with his very distinct features. I was horribly tempted to give up on Howard and put in a pink balloon instead. His face is not the gift to a portrait artist that he claimed, more like a torture.

lol well I've sort of realized that it's rather apparent that I spent a lot more time on their faces than on anything else - I get really lazy with my drawings after all the fun bits are done i.e. faces, hair, fishies.

I did such a squee when I saw this! Holy mother, it's so beautiful. My dorky little fic is seriously not worthy. This is so amazing, they look exactly like they ought-- which is doubly admirable considering you used colored pencils and their faces are in tricky angles. And the expression on Howard's face is truly just as I had imagined it. And the fishies! And the nail polish! And the boat!

My goodness. This is like the best thing ever. You're downright incredible. This made my life.

I've started the next one (a scene from the contest...I just really want to draw the velvet goldmine outfit - which I watched because you mentioned it and is now my new favorite movie, so thanks for that too ^_^). I hope to have it done in the next week or so (depending on the homework situation) so keep an eye out for that.
