Hello sleepy otters!

On the 30th of January 2009, I opened a challenge. For a number of reasons, I inexcusably never closed the challenge or announced a winner. For that reason I would like to link to the three entries that challenge received now. I hope that some of you guys will read them, and vote on them. I would love to finally close this challenge that I so negligently abandoned and announce a winner.

This would be a great opportunity to read these older fics, as some newer members may not have been around when they were posted.

As well as that, I would quite like to start a new challenge at some point, as I feel these are a good way of making the community more lively and interactive. However, it's been over a year since we had a challenge so you may no longer be interested. If you are interested, you could comment with an idea for a new challenge and I'll mull it over and maybe set one up.

I can't apologise enough for abandoning that previous challenge. It was very unfair of me. If we do have another challenge I promise I won't behave in this manner again.

Here at the BSH we are currently looking for new moderators.

The main job of moderators is to approve or reject new members and submissions to the community. They also must be very clear on all our rules. As this is quite a big community, this can sometimes be quite a big job. If you feel like this is something you would be interested in doing, please apply by commenting to this entry.

(1)If you are primarily a writer you should apply by stating what kinds of fic you like and by linking to one of the stories you have written.
(2)If you a primarily a beta then you should apply by stating what kinds of fic you like and by linking to one story you have beta'd.
(3)If you are neither of the above then you should apply by stating what kinds of fic you like and linking to one fic you really enjoyed.

It would be helpful if you could also mention whether or not you are over 18 and how much spare time you would be able to devote to the comm. If you add in an idea for a new challenge for the BSH in your application, then you definitely get brownie points! :)

Yes, that's right my fellow Dirty Jazzers, it's finally time for A NEW CHALLENGE!

As it's the end of the Boosh tour, it seems like high time for the boys and their characters to have a holiday. So write a fic, make a vid, or create some fan-art on the theme of holiday! You can take this theme in any direction you like: as a holiday from the real world, a holiday from one kind of life to another, or the more traditional shaman-on-the-beach-with-turbans-full-of-alcohol kind of holiday.

So slather yourself in sun-screen, buy a new bikini, and bask in this theme BEFORE Sunday, the First of March, 2009 when this challenge will close.

Remember to head your entry with 'Fic Challenge 24'. You may submit no more than two entries, and please check the new Posting Guidance before submitting your entry. If you are submitting fanfiction, then please use a beta. If you have any further questions, please comment below and I'll get back to you asap.
