Fic Challenge Nr. 24: "Holiday"

Yes, that's right my fellow Dirty Jazzers, it's finally time for A NEW CHALLENGE!

As it's the end of the Boosh tour, it seems like high time for the boys and their characters to have a holiday. So write a fic, make a vid, or create some fan-art on the theme of holiday! You can take this theme in any direction you like: as a holiday from the real world, a holiday from one kind of life to another, or the more traditional shaman-on-the-beach-with-turbans-full-of-alcohol kind of holiday.

So slather yourself in sun-screen, buy a new bikini, and bask in this theme BEFORE Sunday, the First of March, 2009 when this challenge will close.

Remember to head your entry with 'Fic Challenge 24'. You may submit no more than two entries, and please check the new Posting Guidance before submitting your entry. If you are submitting fanfiction, then please use a beta. If you have any further questions, please comment below and I'll get back to you asap.

Also, I'd be very happy to hear suggestions for future challenges! If you think you have a good idea then email me at justwolf[at]ymail[dot]com and I and the other mods will consider it.

Oh and I must ask something: is it all right with multi-part fic?
The reason I'm asking is that I and navulen have been planning something, and it would fit perfectly to the theme of this challenge. The only thing is: it would have a massing amount of parts.

So, uhm, before we start freaking out about getting everything done in time, we need to know if it's even allowed, or we'll just submit it as normal fic, excluded from the challenge.

Given that we usually only expect members to submit one or two fics of only one part, I feel like it would be unfair to have these fics competing with a much longer fic, as a multi-part fic and a one-shot are quite different things, and I don't think it would be correct to compare them. However, you could consider submitting one or two parts of your fic, as thieving_gypsy did with her 'Stockholm Syndrome' epic.

No, but if it's novel length that might be a bit of a problem. But within reason, any length is fine.

Oh! I am so getting in on this! *has flashbacks of scenes from monooccularcat's 'days off' series* With permission, am I allowed to do fanart of a fic written prior to the posting of the contest? I can do something original but I was going to do something from that series anyway...

Fanart is fine, and fanart from the series is fine as long as you have the author's permission, of course.
