The first time Howard Moon told Vince Noir that he loved him, he was laughed at. Not maliciously, but it still stung him and wounded his pride. He hadn't wanted to die without saying something sweet and meaningful, and Vince had laughed at the sentiment.
The second time Howard told Vince he loved him, he was elated, ecstatic, euphoric. He was certain that Vince loved him, why would he have kissed him like that if he didn't? So tenderly... but Vince had pushed him back again, said that he was wrong; gone wrong.
Howard Moon was nothing if not persistent....

He was beautiful; glimmering and shining in the dark nightclub. A butterfly among the tawdry moths, blindly drawn in by the light. Except that he was still a butterfly. Howard sighed, no wonder his career as a poet, never mind a cream poet, hadn't taken off if he mixed his metaphors like this.
Vince, with his layers of glitter and pretty clothes: armour protecting him from the grubby, ordinary world, tried so desperately to be special. He needed have bothered, he was a still vision in wrinkly boxers and sleep rumpled hair the next morning. All that glittered wasn't gold.

Vince's mouth had barely reached Howard's cock before the other man was coming all over his face. Howard was panting heavily and blushing. Vince's pointed tongue snaked out and licked his lips clean.
“Mmm,” he said and climbed up Howard's body, kissing as he went. Hip, belly button, pectoral, his soft mouth caressed each one and he sucked gently at the skin. “That's pretty flattering, Howard,” he chuckled lightly against Howard's chest.
“I'm sorry,” Howard muttered quietly under his breath, “I- I'm not used to-”
“Shh,” Vince kissed his lips chastely, “Practice makes perfect.”

Date: 2009-02-02 09:42 pm (UTC)I originally tried to do the first one as a double drabble, with Howard finally getting it right a third time, but I thought it was better to leave it to the imagination.

Date: 2009-02-03 01:31 am (UTC)The first one was kind of sad, in a fluffy kind of a way, if that makes sense...
And aw, bless Howard in the second one, that was really sweet; how he still loved Vince, without all the glitz and glamour.
Have to say though, the third one was my favourite! Something tells me they're both gonna enjoy that practice! ;D

Date: 2009-02-03 09:00 am (UTC)I wanted to leave the impression that he'd get it right eventually in the first one, I'm not sure how well I managed that.
He is a sweetie, isn't he?
Howard being the perfectionist that the is, I'm sure he'll have it in no time (but that's no reason for them to stop practicing of course :P )
